OZWEST was
created in Australia in 1996 by Geoff Hutson.
Geoff is a fully
qualified saddlemaker, having started his
apprenticeship in 1969. After many years of
running his own custom saddlemaking business,
he felt there was a need for a line of saddles
that fitted in-between the cheaper production
line saddles and the top end custom saddles.
The criteria was set to
make a saddle that was lightweight , super
high quality. well fitting for both horse and
rider and fit in to the mid price range.
After a lot of research
and a year of designing, OZWEST saddles
became a reality.
OZWEST saddles
have now become one of the most popular
saddles in Australia and plans are underway to
soon launch them in the U.S.A.
All of our OZWEST
saddles are hand made and are of the highest
quality. We take pride in our workmanship and
finish to each saddle.
We give great
consideration to the fact that buying a saddle
can be a big expense and it is our objective
to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
All of our OZWEST
saddles are built on our own design tree.
The tree is made of
reinforced polyurethane which we guarantee for
5 years [ to original purchaser ]
The seat lengths are 15
1/2" and 16"
The gullet width is set
for semi quarter horse but we can adjust this
for wider horses.
We import and use "
WESTAN " leathers exclusively on our
saddles.
We believe this to be
the finest quality available in the U.S.A.
The leather has many
great characteristics which will ensure that
your saddle will last a lifetime.
